So..did anyone ever tell you you should be in the movies? Are your three favorite words "Lights, Camera, Action" ? Do you have an inner actor or actress just dying to get out? Are you shaking your head yes right now? Well GREAT! I have an opportunity just for you. Director/Producer Joe Grisaffi is looking for extras in renaissance garb to be in his new horror film Dead of Knight . If a trip to Scarby isn't in the cards for you for this weekend...shoot off an email to Mr. Grisaffi and join us for what should be an interesting experience. I will be there Saturday , and possibly Sunday. I am bringing my Texas Flag ez up in hopes that there will be a place to ease it up (yeah...that was bad...I agree.). So come on out! Who knows this could be your one in a million chance to be a *STAR*. Humm I wonder if I should be writing an Oscar acceptance speech? Do they have a category for Most Outstanding Person in a Crowd?
If you need directions to the shoot...just send me a message!
Until we meet again,
Mystic
DEAD OF KNIGHT
Producer/Director: Joe Grisaffi - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0003784/
Screenwriter: Emilio Iasiello
We are planning to shoot our Renaissance Festival scene for Dead of Knight April 14 & 15 (Saturday and Sunday) in Northwest Houston. We need extras to portray festival-goers each day. Daytime shoots. You do not need to be available both days to participate.
Looking for ages 18 and up, any ethnicity. The scenes will be outdoors during the day, so please keep that in mind. The movie is bout a cursed medieval knight whose spirit is accidentally released in present day. The knight must complete a deadly quest to remove his soul from this curse and spend eternity with the lover he once betrayed.
Medieval or Renaissance costumes encouraged, but not required. Costume suggestions - maidens, squires, peasants, kings, queens, pirates, togas, centurions, fantasy, even aliens. We are not being medieval or renaissance-specific. Costumes can be elaborate or cheesy, or anything in between.
If you have an act, like period music, juggling and so on, please let us know. We may be able to feature your act!
Due to the very-ultra-low-budget experimental nature of this project, there is no pay, but everyone who is invited to participate and that can stay all day will receive a DVD of the final product. Also, those who can participate all day (either day) will receive screen credit as well. Times have not been determined, but it will not be outrageously early in the morning :)
We do have some needs for the scenes. If you are interested in
participating and can provide any of the following, we can discuss deferred pay: Canopies, pavilions, portable toilets, clothes racks,
period wardrobe for display only (to be used in the clothes shop scene.)
If you are interested in participating, please email me at southwestcasting@hotmail.com. Please provide us with the following information and we will follow up with additional details. Attach a JPG picture if possible.
Please use the subject line "DoK - Your Name" replacing Your Name with your actual first and last name.
